Ogilvie Dogs has announced a new partnership with Agility Team GB, becoming an official sponsor and training venue for the team as some of Great Britain’s leading agility dogs and handlers prepare for international competition.
Agility Team GB has a new training home after Ogilvie Dogs announced a partnership that will see its purpose-built Lincolnshire centre host much of the team’s programme during the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
The Royal Kennel Club has confirmed the new partnership, with the majority of Agility Team GB’s programme across the two seasons set to take place at Ogilvie Dogs in Twenty, near Bourne.
Ogilvie Dogs has also announced that it is now an official sponsor of Agility Team GB and the team’s official training venue.
The partnership means some of Britain’s leading agility dogs and handlers will prepare for international competition at a centre built specifically for dog sport.
A new home for Agility Team GB
Announcing the news, Ogilvie Dogs said it was “incredibly proud” to become an official sponsor of Agility Team GB and the team’s official training venue.
The company said the partnership represented a significant moment after years spent building and developing its training centre.
Ogilvie Dogs said:
“We’ve spent years building the centre, developing the facilities and creating the UK’s leading premier agility venue, somewhere capable of supporting the sport at the very highest level. And now we get to play a part in helping Team GB prepare to take on the world.”
It added: “Welcome home, Team GB.”
The Royal Kennel Club separately confirms that its new partnership with Ogilvie Dogs covers both the 2027 and 2028 seasons, with the majority of dates taking place at the Lincolnshire venue.
Inside the Ogilvie Dogs Training Centre
The Ogilvie Dogs Training Centre is based at Isla Farm in Twenty, near Bourne, Lincolnshire.
The purpose-built indoor venue measures 20m by 54m and caters for a range of dog sports and training disciplines, including agility, obedience, flyball and heelwork.
Facilities include competition-grade Galican agility equipment and Juta astroturf. Ogilvie Dogs says the same type of surface is used at the FCI Agility World Championships and is suitable for preparation for events including Crufts.
The centre also hosts courses, workshops and seminars and can be hired for individual training.
A strong Team GB connection
The partnership also has a close connection to international agility through Marita Ogilvie.
Ogilvie Dogs says Marita has represented Team GB 13 times with three different dogs during her agility career.
Her international results include an individual silver medal with Border Collie Cicada at the 2024 European Open. The Royal Kennel Club’s results from that championship confirm Marita and Cicada took silver in the Intermediate Individual competition.
She also competed for Great Britain at the 2023 Agility World Championships, where she and Cicada secured bronze in the agility round.
Together with internationally renowned dog trainer Craig Ogilvie, Marita is based at the Ogilvie Dogs Training Centre.
Agility Team GB’s 2027 dates at Ogilvie Dogs
The Royal Kennel Club has already confirmed the first key dates for the 2027 Agility Team GB programme.
The Open Showcase will take place on 6 February, followed by the Junior Open Showcase incorporating the Junior Pre-Selection Qualifier on 7 February.
Tryout Weekend 1 is scheduled for 20–21 February, with Tryout Weekend 2 taking place on 13–14 March.
The Junior Tryout Weekend follows on 20–21 March.
Later Team GB dates are also planned, although not all of them will take place at Ogilvie Dogs. The Royal Kennel Club says its April and May dates will instead be held at Celestine Dog Training.
That distinction is important: Ogilvie Dogs will host the majority of the 2027 and 2028 programme rather than every Team GB event.
Preparing for international competition
Agility Team GB represents Great Britain at major international agility competitions.
The team’s selection process is designed to identify dog-and-handler partnerships capable of competing on international-style courses and includes qualification and try-out stages.
The Royal Kennel Club says its International Qualifier programme is intended to expose current and prospective Team GB partnerships to the skills and course designs required at international level.
Ogilvie Dogs was already part of that programme before the newly announced partnership, hosting one of the 2026 International Qualifiers on 22 August.
The new agreement will significantly expand that relationship by making Ogilvie Dogs the venue for much of the Team GB programme over the next two seasons.
A successful year for Agility Team GB
The announcement follows a successful 2026 Agility World Championships for Great Britain.
At the championships in Turku, Finland, in September, Agility Team GB won two gold medals and one silver medal.
The Large and Small teams both won gold, while Martin Reid and Shetland Sheepdog Selfie took silver in the Individual Small competition.
The championships featured more than 530 competitors from 38 countries, with Great Britain represented by 16 handlers and 21 dogs.
With the 2027 selection programme approaching, the new partnership means many of the dogs and handlers hoping to represent Great Britain internationally will now head to Lincolnshire as part of their Team GB journey.
